The musical beginnings of DJ KOKSI extend since 1994 when he started playing drums in a rock band. Five years later his main interest became electronic dance music and drums were replaced by turntables. In the start he was attracted to minimal techno, but with time his style was shifted into house and trance. As a DJ he played in almost every club in Slovenia (Ambasada Gavioli- Izola, Simfonija - Unec, Gala hala - Metelkova, Bellevue - LJ, Juke Box - Metlika, Casablanca - Celje, K4 - LJ), and with various renowned DJs such as Steve Lawler, Nick Warren, Tomcraft, Scumfrog. In 2002 he was a resident DJ in one of the most influential clubs in Ljubljana, Klub K4. His musical mark is progressive but in a distinctive style, spanning between house and trance of English, Dutch and German origin, with mainstream vocals and enriched with other elements of electronica. Koksi's sets work as warm ups for trance/progressive parties, as well as in the prime-time. His favourite labels are Pitch Black, Bedrock, Silver Planet, Code Blue, Junior, Hope, Skint, Fluential, Subliminal, Darkness, Whoop! etc., best artists: Timo Maas, X-Press2, Richard F, Pete Heller, Laurent Wolf, Trancesetters, Fatboy Slim, Planet Funk.
