BIO:

It was in 97, when Matija Marinček aka DJ Mareen fell under the influence of electronic music, and his ambition to become a DJ grew bigger and bigger every day. The decision was made when he visited Dance Valley festival in Amsterdam and heard artists like Timo Maas, Danny Howells and Darren Emerson. He was so impressed by the music they were playing he had to instantly buy his own turntables and start a career of a DJ.

His style is tech-progressive and the music he plays is a combination of hard rhythm with a strong bass line, tech basis, melodic effects - in short with elements of various sorts which could be determined as progressive tech-house/trance, with more broken beats introduced to his sets lately. He chooses his music preferably from labels such as Kickin', Distinctive, Mauritius, Maelstrom, Automatic, Baroque, Pitch Black, Hope, Hook, Yoshitoshi, Mindstar and of course many others so the variety of pieces is distinctive for his sets and he aims to gradually bring the audience to the top of dancing-listening ecstasy. He swears on the technical sophistication of a DJ. So far he presented his skills in the clubs such as Lipa, K4, Media Park, Liberty, GalaHala, Festival of Friendship in Bosnia and many private parties. His participation in Sound Option is a result of common enthusiasm for promotion, organization and enjoying electronic music.
